Great price.
Pros: Great filter, no plastic, doesn't break from boiling water.
Cons: The glass is thin and feels fragile. Every pour guarantees a little bit of drip down the side from the spout.
Finally a pitcher that can accommodate hot water to brew tea and is attractive. Surprises you as it is very light considering what it can do. I, personally, am very careful not to bump it--don't want to create "stress fracture" points. It is sturdier than it appears, though. I really like this pitcher. The strainer is a very nice touch. You can forgo the tea infuser if you wish.
Only had this pitcher a few days but it seems like it will work well. It’s sturdy and almost holds as much as an old pitcher I had. I got this pitcher because it had a nice handle. My husband has arthritis and our old pitcher was to hard to hold. This works much better. I think it has a very pretty shape as well.
Great Product. Use this to store coffee made by my french press to use for iced coffees in the morning. It's easy to clean if you have a baby bottle brush and wash by hand. I haven't tried to wash it through the dishwasher. Fits right in the fridge, the glass seems sturdy and the top pours well.
This 2 quart glass pitcher is perfect for small gatherings or just chilling on my deck, enjoying a cold drink. This can be heated on the stove as well. Has a neat strainer lid.
Smaller than I thought and deceiving to the eye. I filled up my plastic 2 quart pitcher and filled up this new glass pitcher to see if it was really 2 quarts. Sure enough it is.
I do like how it is light weight and not heavy like most glass pitchers are.
I do a lot of cooking, so its important for me to have gadgets that work properly. I bought this item hoping to store excess homemade fruit juice in the refrigerator. After reading reviews and looking at all the high ratings, it seemed like a no-brainer. Once I received it I felt quite disappointed. It initially reminded me of a cheap, fragile flower vase with a cap that seems tricky to clean. It is a little expensive for what you get. Apparently people aren’t to concerned with cleaning the lid considering all the high ratings. You have to remove the interior portion of the lid to clean properly and spend time putting it back afterwards, so it does’t come off when your pouring. Quite annoying. I decided to use a cleaned emptied pickle jar with a lid for my excess juice instead since it will stand the test of time and seems more practical. The carafe might one day serve as a vessel for day old wine or some other purpose.
These are wonderful containers. I was tired of keeping water in a plastic container, and had trouble finding a glass container that was light to lift and didn't spill the water in places it was not supposed to go. After reading reviews of these containers, I decided to give them a try. I ordered the 50 oz. and the 35 oz. I am so glad I purchased them. I can pour easily, even though I have very sore wrists and elbows from arthritis. They keep my water cold in the refrigerator, are elegant looking, and are sturdy enough to use over and over again. I recommend these to anyone wanting a good looking, safe, and sturdy glass container to hold liquids.
This pitcher is exactly what I was looking for! It has glass which is good for avoiding stains and chemicals. If you have kids it might not be ideal but otherwise it's great. The spout pours very easily and the handle is easy to manage. I use mine primarily for tea but it works good for other beverages as well. You can also place boiling water directly into it without any worry like you would have with plastic containers. The opening at the top is good enough size to easily fit my hand into for washing it. I tried a few different types at the local chain stores here but find this one to be my favorite. The lid also fits snug enough to prevent any liquid from coming out.
I drink iced tea a lot. I boil water in my kettle and then put in 4 tea bags to steep. When cool, I would then pour the tea into a pitcher.
Now.....I can just put my tea bags into this pitcher and pour the boiling water right in. It's great! And, it's pretty to look at.
This really is a great pitcher.
I needed a glass pitcher to use when I have people over for dinner, and found this on the internet. I used it tonight for Thanksgiving and it's great.
The glass is very thin which is a function of the type of glass - extremely strong and resistant to heat and cold - so I will be especially careful with it.
But it's really lovely. I used it without the strainer as didn't have any fruit or lemon in the water this time. As others have mentioned, it's deceiving in it's size. It looks small but holds a lot. I realize I only just got it (prompt delivery, btw) but so far I am very happy with my purchase!
